Would this work on a ___ motorcycle? Do you have the item for my motorcycle.

We do not have an exhaust specifically for your motorcycle at the moment. Many of our customers use our shorty GP exhausts to custom fit onto their motorcycles with great results. We recommend measuring the Outside Diameter of the pipe where you plan to attach our exhaust. Just let us know the Outside Diameter and we can get you an exhaust that fits perfect on your custom application. We have attached sample photos of the measurement we need. You can use a ruler or caliper to measure the diameter.

You can send us a photos of the measurement if you would like us to determine the perfect size for your motorcycle.

Can I pay directly with a credit card?

Yes, Credit card payments can be made with PayPal. It only takes a few moments to create an account. Or choose Stripe to checkout using your credit card.

What happens if I do not tune? Do I need a power commander? Do I need to rejet.

As with any aftermarket exhaust, tuning is recommended for best performance, but is not required. Many of our customers do not tune their motorcycle after installing our exhaust with no problems.

Without tuning, horsepower is increased only at full throttle and torque is decreased during normal riding. If tuning is done, both horsepower and torque are increased.

Tune a fuel injected motorcycles?

Tuning is recommended for best performance, but is not required. Many of our customers do not tune their motorcycle after installing our exhaust with no problems. Without tuning, horsepower is increased only at full throttle and torque is decreased during normal riding. If tuning is done, both horsepower and torque are increased. Our exhausts are very similar to Voodoo gp, Hotbodies gp, and M4 gp, but at a fraction of the price.

You can purchase a dynojet powercomander from ebay. The Dynojet powercommander is relatively easy to install and works great with our exhaust.

Do you have a Dyno map chart?

No, we do not have fuel maps or tuning maps available. This can be done at your local performance shop.

Tuning is recommended for best performance, but is not required. Many of our customers do not tune their motorcycle after installing our exhaust with no problems.

Do I need to remove the exhaust gasket?

Yes, you need to remove the factory gasket seal. The clamp we provided with the exhaust does not require the factory gasket seal. The clamp attaches directly to your header and forms a leak-free seal.

Tune a carb motor?

To tune a Carburetor motorcycle, you will need to re-jet the motorcycle. We recommend purchasing a Dynojet stage 1 jet kit. The Dynojet jet kit is relatively easy to install and works great with our exhaust.

Do you have any pictures of the exhaust mounted on my bike?

We do not have any pictures of the exhaust mounted on your motorcycle at the moment. We apologize for any inconvenience. This exhaust is very similar to voodoo, hotbodies, and M4 GP exhausts.

This exhaust is designed with a small baffle and exhaust packing inside. The baffle and exhaust packing helps tone down the exhaust sound. This exhaust sounds different than just taking off your muffler and having a straight pipe. The exhaust is a straight through design similar to a Voodoo GP exhaust and a Hotbodies GP exhaust, but at a fraction of the cost.

Is it suppose to come with a baffle Hollow?

We have another listing that is bundled with a Shorty GP Baffle Catalyst. Customers wanted the option of having the baffle optional because some customers prefer a more aggressive sound with the option of toning down the sound.

We have a Shorty GP Baffle Catalyst that is manufactured specifically for our Shorty GP Exhausts. These bolt on baffles help lower the tone of the exhaust by up to 3 DB measured from a distance of 50 feet away. Due to the nature of how short these exhausts are, they will be loud even with the extra baffling. If you want a quiet motorcycle, these exhausts are not for you.

Our Radiant Cycles Shorty GP Baffle is a true catalyst and has a coating that helps reduce emissions. The coaJng consists of planum (Pt), palladium (Pd), and rhodium (Rh) =2:7:1,10g/j3.

Exhaust not fitting!

Here are some possible reasons why the item did not fit your motorcycle:

Your headers may be aftermarket.

We may have accidentally shipped out the wrong exhaust to you. The exhaust may have been defective.

Different regions around the world may have different header sizes due to emission standards.

You can send us a photo of your measurement and we will be able to get the perfect fit for your header pipe.

We can send you a free replacement for a different size. Please measure the outside diameter of your midpipe/header and let us know what size you need. We want to make sure the replacement exhaust will fit perfectly on your motorcycle. Please let us know what size you need and we will ship another exhaust to you.

Do I have to remove the exup valve? (aka servo, exhaust valve)

The exhaust valve is removed when installing our exhaust. This exhaust is a direct bolt on and no cutting or welding is required for installation. We provide full detailed installation instructions with every purchase. Our exhausts are very similar to Voodoo gp, Hotbodies gp, and M4 gp exhausts, but at a fraction of the cost.

Is backpressure decreased?

Backpressure is decreased with our exhaust. This provides less exhaust restriction to increase horsepower at full throttle.

Will this work on my bike if I have an O2 sensor?

No, This exhaust will not fit your motorcycle if you have an O2 sensor attached to your factory muffler. Our exhausts do not have an O2 port/bung in order to attach the O2 sensor.

Is your exhaust legal in my area?

We sell our exhausts all over the world so it is difficult for us to advise on rules and restrictions in every country. Please check with your local authority for this information.

Our exhaust sound puts out approximately 95db at 8000 rpm.

This exhaust is designed with a small baffle and exhaust packing inside. The baffle and exhaust packing helps tone down the exhaust sound while allowing maximum exhaust flow. This exhaust sounds different than just taking off your muffler and having a straight pipe.

The exhaust fell apart?

The exhaust may have been defective. We can send you a free replacement. Please send us a picture of the exhaust that fell apart and a picture of the other exhaust that is still intact. We also need your original transaction number or full name. We will send a replacement as soon as we receive the pictures. Please send pictures to support@radiantcycles.com

Item purchased over a year ago?

Our products only comes with a one-year warranty.

Whats the difference between the butterfly valve and the exup valve?

The butterfly valve is located on the factory muffler and the exup valve motor has 2 cables that connect to the butterfly valve. To keep the check engine light from coming on, you need to disconnect the 2 cables from the factory muffler. Do not disconnect the electrical connector that connects to the exup valve motor. As long as the exup valve motor is kept plugged in, the check engine light will stay off. We recommend keeping the cables connected to the exup valve motor and use a zip tie to hide the cables. This will keep the exup valve motor from spinning freely.

The instructions that come with the exhaust have all the necessary information for installation.

Will this hurt my valves/engine?

As with any aftermarket exhaust, tuning is recommended for best performance, but is not required. Many of our customers do not tune their motorcycle after installing our exhaust with no problems.

Without tuning, horsepower is increased only at full throttle and torque is decreased during normal riding. If tuning is done, both horsepower and torque are increased.

This exhaust will not hurt your valves or engine. Backpressure is reduced with this exhaust compared to stock. It is a misperception that low backpressure damages valves with modern day motorcycles. Older motorcycles and cars back in the day used to have this issue. With today's advances in manufacturing and the use of engine computers, the metals used for manufacturing engines do not get damaged by reduced backpressure and engine computers can adjust the fuel curve slightly.

Even with the factory muffler, if you full throttle your motorcycle everywhere you go, your engine will not last long. Aggressive riders usually have premature engine wear when they redline their motorcycle often and push their motorcycle to the limits.

How long is this exhaust?

Thank you for your interest in our Shorty GP Exhaust. This particular exhaust is 9" long from end to end and 1.2" of the exhaust length slips over the header pipe to clamp securely.

Do you have a quieter version

We have a Shorty GP Baffle available that can be added into the exhaust to lower the noise.

Can I add more baffling?

We have a Shorty GP Baffle Catalyst that is manufactured specifically for our Shorty GP Exhausts.

These bolt on baffles help lower the tone of the exhaust by up to 3 DB measured from a distance of 50 feet away. Due to the nature of how short these exhausts are, they will still be loud even with the extra baffling. If you want a quiet motorcycle, these exhausts are not for you.

Our Radiant Cycles Shorty GP Baffle is a true catalyst and has a coating that helps reduce emissions. The coating consists of platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd), and rhodium (Rh) =2:7:1,10g/ft3.

Can I add more than 1 baffle to the exhaust?

We have a Shorty GP Baffle Catalyst that is manufactured specifically for our Shorty GP Exhausts. These bolt on baffles help lower the tone of the exhaust by up to 3 DB measured from a distance of 50 feet away. Due to the nature of how short these exhausts are, they will still be loud even with the extra baffling.

The exhaust is manufactured for only 1 Shorty GP Baffle Catalyst to fit into the exhaust outlet side with the supplied bolt. The diameter of the baffle is 40mm OD. You might be able to install a second Shorty GP Baffle Catalyst into the inlet side of the exhaust, but you would need to weld it in place because the second baffle will have a difficult time securing with the supplied bolt.

Our Radiant Cycles Shorty GP Baffle is a true catalyst and has a coating that helps reduce emissions. The coating consists of platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd), and rhodium (Rh) =2:7:1,10g/ft3.

Ducati inner and outer sleeve

We do not have an exhaust specifically for your 1999 750 Monster at the moment. Many of our customers use our shorty GP exhausts to custom fit onto their motorcycles with great results. The 1999 750 Monster has an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve for the exhaust connection. We recommend attaching our Style 1 exhaust over both the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve because these exhaust attach more securely going over than sliding into the exhaust sleeves. To do this, you just need to measure the outer diameter of the outer sleeve where your new exhaust will slide over your header. Please measure the outside diameter of your outer sleeve and let us know what size it is. We will be able to get you an exhaust that works perfectly on your application.

Whats the difference in yours vs other brands?

All of our shorty GP exhausts come with a baffle sleeve inside the exhaust. We are the original creator since 2006. The difference between these our exhaust and other brands is that our endcaps have relief cuts on the end to clamp securely. We also use high-heat ceramic paint and bake our exhausts to cure. We also include a retail box and instructions with our exhausts. Every exhaust comes with a 60 day 100% satisfaction guarantee and we also give a 1-year free replacement warranty on all of our exhausts.

Is baffle removable?

Our exhausts are completely welded and do not come apart. It would be very difficult to add or remove the baffling inside the exhaust because the complete unit has welds. Even with a double baffle, these exhausts are still very loud. If you want a quiet motorcycle, this exhaust is not for you.

Why is the exhaust rated as 95db on website?

The decibel rating was measured on different motorcycles and at different distances. For a Suzuki Bandit GSF600, These exhausts are rated at 105db measured from a distance of 3 feet away from the motorcycle. The 95db rating is for motorcycles that have a factory catalytic converter that the exhaust attaches to.

Lost exhaust after installation.

As noted in our installation instructions, we recommend adding safety wire to the exhausts just incase vibration causes the clamps to loosen. We will go ahead and ship you a free replacement.

Why does the item say for off-road use only?

We sell our exhausts all over the world, so it is difficult for us to advise on rules and restrictions in every country. The item may not be street legal in some areas of the world where emissions standards are more strict. That is the reason why we add this disclaimer. Please check with your local authority for this information.

Our exhaust sound puts out approximately 105db at 8000 rpm on your particular Victory motorcycle.

This exhaust is designed with a small baffle and exhaust packing inside each unit. The baffle and exhaust packing helps tone down the exhaust sound while allowing maximum exhaust flow.

We will work on making this information more clear on our listings. This is what we have on our listings regarding the street legality of these exhausts. Common questions.

"Is this exhaust street legal? Depending on which state you live in. Some states have a lower tolerance for noise disturbance."

My clamp is broken

Please note that the clamp is not designed to be torqued. The clamp should be tightened until the exhaust is securely attached to the header.

Touching swingarm tire hitting tire

These exhausts usually fits perfectly without clearance issues. The exhaust should not be touching your swingarm or tire. The exhaust should be close to the swingarm or tire but not touching. There are times when a motorcycle has been laid down and the header gets bent slightly or during assembly of the motorcycle, the header was installed slightly closer to the motorcycle swingarm/frame. The tire may be a different size, the chain length may be tighter than usual.

There can be many reasons why the exhaust is touching the swingarm.

Without having your motorcycle in front of us, it is difficult to determine why its touching.

You can try to loosen the exhaust clamp and moving the exhaust away from the swingarm, tighten exhaust clamp while pulling the exhaust away from swingarm.

If that doesn't work, you can try loosening the header pipe bolts just enough to shift the exhaust away from the swingarm. while holding the exhaust away from the swingarm, tighten the header bolts.

Bracket on exhaust?

Our exhausts do not have additional mounting brackets like the factory pipes. These exhausts are very light and weigh less 1.5 pounds each. The exhaust is able to securely mount to the factory header without issues. We always recommend adding a second point of contact by using safety wire for any aftermarket parts added to a motorcycle. This will make sure that if the clamps fails, the exhaust will stay in place.

Rusting exhaust rust

Due to the extreme temperatures of exhaust systems, it is normal for corrosion, rust, and exhaust soot to form on exhaust pipes. This happens to all exhaust systems with normal use.

Some customers purchase VHT black paint to respray the exhaust black.

Do you sell black clamps?

Unfortunately, all of our exhaust clamps are stainless steel. We do not have them available in black at the moment.

Some customers purchase VHT black paint to spray the exhaust clamp black. VHT Spray paint can be found at any automotive parts store.

How to install new replacement clamp?

When you receive the 2 new clamps, please make sure the exhaust clamp is lined up to the edge of the exhaust. To do this, loosen the clamp nut. Set the exhaust standing upright on a flat surface and slide the clamp all the way down to the flat surface so the clamp sits flush with the inlet on the exhaust. This allows the exhaust the most clamping ability in order to securely attach the exhaust.

Peeling paint

Due to the extreme temperatures of exhaust systems, it is normal for corrosion, rust, and exhaust soot to form on exhaust pipes with long-term usage. This happens to all exhaust systems with normal use but usually not this soon after installation.

Parts look USED

All of our baffles we ship are brand new. The baffles are manufactured in different batches, the baffles sometimes look different due to the coating on the inside. Almost all of our baffles have some peeling on the inside that does not affect the usage of the item. They get coated with exhaust soot after installation.
